Meet Dr. Carrie L. Byington, the new EVP of UC Health. Originally from Texas, she is passionate about supporting bee colonies and the leadership culture they exemplify.

When a UC Davis Children’s Hospital patient revealed to the Make a Wish Foundation that her dream was to be a pop star, UC Davis Health staff did everything possible to make her wish come true.

Dr. Carrie L. Byington has been named the next executive vice president of UC Health, a role in which she will oversee UC’s five academic medical centers, a community-based health system and 18 health professional schools.
