Learn ergonomic principles at ‘Sitting Safe’ class

UCOP Risk Services/Environment Health & Safety is offering a specialized ergonomic training class, “Sitting Safe”, on April 21 at 415 20th st, room 302.

The training is a unique, interactive ergonomic injury prevention program with the goal of the training is to help prevent physical stress that we may experience while performing activities of daily living on and off the job.  Between work and our family responsibilities many of us lead busy lives that require energy and our full attention

The SITTINGSAFE® training will teach important ergonomic principles and simple office-related stretches that can make a huge difference in how we feel now and in the long term.  The training is practical in nature and applies to anyone that performs computer or office related work.

Three 2-hours sessions will be held:

Session A         9:30-11:30 AM
Session B         12:30-2:30 PM
Session C         2:30-4:30 PM

Seating is limited and on a first come, first served basis.  To register, please email EHS@ucop.edu indicating your preference for sessions.  Your request will be acknowledged with an Outlook meeting invitation.

Ergonomic training is available to all UCOP employees. To arrange for training, please contact EHS@ucop.edu.
