The UCOP Staff Assembly, which works to promote the interest and welfare of employees, will soon be accepting nominations for Steering Committee officers.

Nominations will be accepted from Tuesday, May 11 to Friday, May 21 for up to eight seats on the Steering Committee. The 2010-11 election will be held from Monday, May 24 through Friday, May 28. Steering Committee members will serve a two-year term, beginning in July 2010.
UCOP Staff Assembly will announce details next week about upcoming brown-bag sessions where you can learn more about the upcoming elections, as well as the Staff Assembly’s role at the Office of the President.
The UCOP Staff Assembly comprises all represented and non-represented UCOP employees. Its officers, the Steering Committee, sponsor activities like the upcoming town hall meeting with President Yudof, and work to influence policy and practice by speaking to the administration on behalf of staff.
