UC’s new systemwide campus climate reporting website
UC has launched an online reporting mechanism in response to bias-related incidents on some UC campuses last spring. The new campus climate reporting website offers an electronic, systemwide intolerance report form, developed to capture acts of intolerance on all of the campuses and at the labs and the Office of the President.
You can use the form to report the following issues, anonymously or by name:
- Expressions of Bias
- Hate Speech/Hate Crime
- Graffiti/Vandalism
- Intimidation, Bullying or Physical Violence
- Bias Incidents
- Hostile Climate
- Other Campus Climate Issues
In addition to definitions of the aforementioned issues, the new site also has information about campus Principles of Community and the various ways you can report a concern, including campus bias reporting forms and campus police.
You also have the option to complete a campus-based form. Standard, baseline questions are noted on both the systemwide and campus forms to ensure accurate data collection and reporting. The proper campus officials are automatically notified once a complaint has been filed using the systemwide form. Then the appropriate campus office will conduct a review and, as needed, an investigation.
Call the 24-hour, toll-free University Whistleblower Hotline at 1-800-403-4744 if prefer to speak with a customer service representative. Reporters are also welcome to use the hotline.
Modeled after the University Whistleblower Hotline website, the new systemwide campus climate reporting website allows administrators to track the number and types of reported incidents. To report acts of intolerance, go to: https://ucsystems.ethicspointvp.com/custom/ucs_ccc/default.asp.
