The upgraded entry and exit gates, scheduled for installation in the Franklin lobby by Monday, March 14, will provide a new level of security for the building. Using the new gates will require a simple swipe of your UCOP identity card, same as the current system, but swiping your ID will also be required to exit.

Maria Echaveste will speak on Tuesday, March 22, 12:10 to 1 p.m., at UCOP’s celebration of César E. Chávez. Echaveste is senior distinguished fellow at The Chief Justice Earl Warren Institute on Law and Social Policy at UC Berkeley’s Boalt School of Law. The talk will be held in the new Franklin Lobby 1 Conference Room on the ground floor of the Franklin building.

The all-day session on PowerPoint 2007 was moved to Thursday, March 10, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Franklin building, room 7107, sponsored by HR Learning & Development. To register, log in to the UC Learning Center with your UCOP user name and password. Search for “UCOP PowerPoint,” then click “register” to make your selection and submit.

WorkFit has something for everyone and at every level. In fact, more than half of all WorkFit participants had no previous formal exercise program. Classes are offered at both the Franklin and Kaiser building locations and include Stretch & Release, Circuit Training, Crazy about Core and Yoga.
