Compliance Week continues all week with webinars, talks
UCOP’s Office of Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services (ECAS) celebrates National Compliance and Ethics Week through Friday, May 11, with tabling every morning at Franklin and webinars and brown bag talks by UC staff throughout the week.
The goal is to raise awareness throughout the UC community about ECAS’s work every day to help ensure that the university earns the public trust by maintaining an ethical environment and complying with state and federal laws and regulations.
In addition to the information booth every morning from 8 to 9 a.m. in the Franklin Lobby, here are the upcoming events:
Wednesday, May 9
- 12 to 1 p.m.: Brown bag talk/webinar with Brian Warshawsky, systemwide export control officer, Ten Things You Must Know before Taking your Laptop Overseas, 12322 Franklin
Thursday, May 10
- 10 to 11:30 a.m.: Webinar with Rita Spaur, chief of police and emergency director, UC Merced, UC Merced’s Holistic Approach to Safety, Security and Preparedness
Friday, May 11
- 12 to 1 p.m.: Brown bag talk with Judith Rosenberg, ECAS principal investigator, and John Lohse, ECAS director of investigations, Understanding UC Whistleblower Policy, 12322 Franklin
