Questions about admission to UC? Upcoming workshops
Are you or your child applying for undergraduate admission to a UC campus in 2013 or an upcoming term?
A series of brown bag workshops beginning this week will offer guidance on academic preparation and essential steps leading to undergraduate admission at UC.
Sponsored by OP Staff Assembly, the series offers sessions on admissions, paying for college and writing the application personal statement. All sessions take place from 12 to 1 p.m., as follows:
- Part I, Overview of Admissions and Transfer Path: Tuesday, Sept. 25, 11326 Franklin, presented by Shawn Brick, associate director, Student Affairs. The session will present an overview of UC’s freshman admissions policy, information on the transfer path to UC, and what UC campuses look for in making their class selections as well as resources available to help prospective students.
- Part II, Paying for College: Thursday, Sept. 27, 11326 Franklin, presented by Nancy Coolidge, associate director, Student Financial Support. This will be the first in a series of four presentations about paying for college in various ways. The first session provides an overview of financial aid terms and concepts.
