Brown bags Dec. 7 & 13: UCPath Center and new job openings

Recruiting is now open and applications are being accepted for more than 150 new jobs at the UCPath Center, located near the UC Riverside campus.

If you’re interested in learning more about the UCPath Center and the new jobs, don’t miss these upcoming brown bags, taking place this month at both the Franklin and Kaiser buildings:

  • Friday, Dec. 7, 12 to 1:15 p.m. in Franklin Lobby 1 Conference Room
  • Thursday, Dec. 13, 12:15 to 1:30 p.m. in 512 Kaiser Building

Representatives of UCOP and UCPath will be on hand at both sessions to provide information on how to apply, the timeline for recruiting and training, and what it’s like to work in a shared services center, followed by questions and answers. (Executive Vice President Nathan Brostrom will be present only at the Franklin event.)

For those who are unable to attend in person, note that both events will be available via ReadyTalk, and you can submit your questions through the ReadyTalk chat room. Log on at http://www.readytalk.com and dial 866-740-1260, access code 5876254.

The UCPath Center last week posted the new positions in benefits, payroll, human resources, fulfillment and records, quality, business operations, HR information systems and customer service. It expects to fill 156 positions by April 2013 and up to 500 positions when the UCPath Center is fully operational in October 2014.

The university is giving priority consideration to current UC employees seeking employment at the UCPath Center. The goal is to attract current UC employees in order to build a team that is familiar with the UC culture and better positioned to deliver quality service to UC employees.

Applications from current UC employees will be screened, qualified applicants interviewed and job offers made prior to interviewing external applicants. In the event that two candidates are equally qualified, priority will be given to the UC employee.

The recruitment period for managerial, technical and executive support positions closes on Dec. 21, 2012; recruitment for all other positions will close on Jan. 18, 2013. For more details, be sure to attend the brown bags and check these additional resources:
