Oct. 28: Pat Giacalone on long-term health care insurance
OP staffer Rikki Baum, after caring for her elderly parents and realizing how costly their care is, two years ago bought a long-term care policy for herself.
“Like many boomers, my elderly parents are in failing health,” said Baum, director of research and evaluation in Education Partnerships. ”Fortunately, the long-term care policies they had the foresight to acquire 20 years ago have allowed us to provide them 24/7 care in their own home.”
If you’re considering purchasing long-term care insurance for yourself, your parents or another loved one, you can learn more on Monday, Oct. 28, 12 to 1 p.m. in 12322 Franklin, at a brown bag lunch sponsored by OP Staff Assembly.
