Changing Minds, Changing Brains: Berkeley psychology professor to visit UCOP
UC Berkeley Psychology Professor Silvia Bunge will discuss the subject of Changing Minds, Changing Brains, 12 to 1 p.m. on Monday, March 31, in 5320 Franklin. Vice President for Research and Graduate Studies Steven Beckwith will moderate the discussion.
Using behavioral and brain imaging techniques, Bunge’s research examines how we control our thoughts and actions to align with our internal goals. Her aim is to explain how the prefrontal cortex contributes to cognitive control in children and adults.
Bunge is associate professor and head graduate advisor in the Department of Psychology and associate professor and executive committee member in the Helen Wills Neuroscience Institute at UC Berkeley. She also directs the Building Blocks of Cognition Laboratory.
