June 13: Nancy Shulock delves into future of California higher education
Join Institutional Research and Academic Planning (IRAP) for its second guest speaker in a series that delves into the future of California’s higher education system.
Nancy Shulock, executive director of the Institute for Higher Education Leadership and Policy, will discuss her latest report that offers a new vision for California higher education and suggests an emerging consensus about the kinds of transformations that could return California to a position of leadership in higher education.
The brown bag is 12 to 1 p.m. Friday, June 13, in 5320 Franklin.
Shulock is also a professor of Public Policy and Administration at Sacramento State University.
IRAP is a relatively new department at UCOP that generates information and analysis about the university and external issues to provide stakeholders systemwide with the data they need to manage, plan and make decisions.
Series speakers will include policymakers from government, nonprofits and higher educational institutions. One goal of the series is to generate an atmosphere of intellectual exchange and help keep IRAP as well as all OP staff current on rapidly developing issues in the area of higher education policy.
