Get more exercise: Register now for UC Living Well’s Move More challenge

How active are you? Do you get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day? Put yourself to the test and compete against coworkers when you join the UC Living Well Move More challenge.

Available at all UC locations, the Move More challenge is a first of its kind opportunity to get fit with your colleagues across the system. The six-week challenge is open to all employees and retirees who are covered on a UC-sponsored medical plan. You can join as an individual or better yet, join or create a team for additional motivation to increase your fitness level.

Register now for the challenge, which runs from June 23 to Aug. 3, 2014. During the Move More challenge, the goal is to get at least 30 minutes of exercise, three times a week, but you’re more than welcome to do more. The challenge offers an online tool where you can track your and your team’s activity. Or, get a free app called OptumizeMe for iPhone and Android devices that syncs with the online tool so you can track activity when you’re on the go.

Employees and retirees who are eligible for points through UC Living Well programs can earn 2,500 points toward a $75 Visa® card. Plus, you can get extra motivation and support by calling 1-855-688-9775 to work with a Wellness Coach during the challenge. Good luck, and have fun!

To join the Move More challenge, register online as follows:

  • Visit the UC Living Well website.
  • Click on the “I want–I get” button to log in to your personal Wellness Website.
  • Find the Move More challenge link under Featured Links.
