Free coffee drinks and tea tastings at Franklin’s High XII Cafe Aug. 7
Craving coffee? Verve Coffee Roasters, High XII Cafe’s coffee supplier, will host a popup stand 9 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday, Aug. 7, to offer free drip coffee and espresso drinks to the UCOP community.
Verve is an award-winning Santa Cruz–based roaster that sources its coffees from around the world. It actively participates in the entire supply chain, in its words, “from farm level to street level.” Verve has three cafes in Santa Cruz and a growing presence in Los Angeles and the Bay Area.
And for you tea drinkers, there will be tastings of Runa beverages, another product available in the café. Runa drinks are based on guayusa from the Ecuadorian Amazon, a naturally caffeinated tree leaf brewed like tea that is rich in antioxidants, polyphenols and amino acids.
Look for the popup stand in the Franklin lobby, outside the interior entrance to the café.
