UCOP blood drive: Give the gift of life
Since UCOP’s first blood drive, in November 2000, a total of 3,282 pints of blood have been collected. That’s over 400 gallons! At least 500 UCOP employees have donated at least once, and at the most recent drive, in October, 48 donors donated 43 pints, helping to save more than 120 lives.
This holiday season, join your colleagues in giving a gift that has real meaning. Help those in medical need by scheduling an appointment to donate blood at the American Red Cross blood drive on Tuesday, Dec. 15, from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Email Jan Kehoe to make your appointment.
The Bloodmobile will be parked on 11th St., between Franklin and Webster Streets, in front of the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) building. It’s just a half block from the Franklin building.
Go to the American Red Cross website to learn more about the process. To make donating even easier, start the process online before your donation date.
