Come to the APISA Lunar New Year Potluck on Jan. 18

All UCOP staff is invited to celebrate the 2017 Lunar New Year at the Asian Pacific Islander Staff Association’s (APISA) annual potluck. We will welcome the Year of the Rooster with plenty of good food, good cheer and good luck shared with festive abundance! APISA also wants to hear your stories, suggestions and ideas for events this coming year.

Please bring a dish to share (enough for six to eight people).

Lunar New Year is an event that is celebrated by Asians around the world. The Vietnamese call it Tet and the Chinese call it the spring festival. There are many traditions and rituals associated with this event, such as wearing new clothing or the color red to symbolize the beginning of a new year and to attract good luck.
