Deadline extended! Apply to be a seller at the UCOP Winter Craft Fair
Are you crafty? Do you knit, crochet, paint, sew, decoupage, create jewelry or any other hand-crafted items? If so, consider selling them at the annual UCOP Winter Craft Fair, scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 30 in the Franklin lobby.
Never sold before? No worries! The UCOP Craft Fair is the perfect place to show your handmade items for the first time. Your colleagues will be excited to see and support your work, and the location is convenient. The registration fee is $30, which provides you with a display table, cover, and chair. You keep 100 percent of the proceeds from your sales.
We’re actively recruiting new sellers this year but also welcome returning sellers. Staff who were first-time sellers last year found it fun and rewarding. One tip they passed along was to start crafting early: If you don’t already have a supply of items to sell, it’s time to get cracking! Not sure if you’ll have enough product to sell? Consider joining forces with a crafting co-worker and sharing a table (splitting the $30 fee but keeping your own sale proceeds).
There are a few simple guidelines:
- All items must be handcrafted, preferably by the person selling them.
- No mass-produced or imported items.
- To sell, you must be either a UCOP employee or a close relative or friend of one.
If you’re interested, send an email to Rebecca.Landes@ucop.edu by Friday, Oct. 20, along with one or more photos of your work. We have space for 25 vendors; once vendors are chosen, we’ll notify you and ask for the registration fee.
