Office of the General Counsel (OGC) Bake Sale and Auction raises over $3,500 for local charities
A big thank you to the Office of General Counsel (OGC) bake sale committee and all OGC staff responsible for the success of the 32nd Annual Pre-Thanksgiving Bake Sale, Raffle and Silent Auction, as well as everyone who supported the event with their purchases and donations.
This year OGC raised $3,667.50 for charity. Proceeds from this year’s events will be divided between two local charities:
- Alameda County Community Food Bank: The food bank provides access to healthy food to members of our community, while partnering with local, state and federal organizations to advocate for those in need.
- First Place for Youth: A Northern California organization founded in 1998, First Place for Youth provides affordable housing and other support to former foster youth and is a national model for programs supporting high-risk youth.
Winners of the silent auctions to join various UCOP leaders for lunch included Dan Scannell, Rebekah Fernandez, Dianne Yoder, Nancy Pluzdrak, Shondella Reed and Peter Church.
