That UC tote bag? Here’s where you can buy it

Want a tote bag or tumbler to show your UC pride? How about a T-shirt commemorating the university’s 150th anniversary?

Now you can buy it.

The new UC Store, launched this week by the Marketing Communications department, is where you can purchase official UC merchandise online for your personal use. The merchandise includes a variety of T-shirts, beverage holders, tote bags and buttons, and all items are reasonably priced at $18 or less.

Purchases, including the shipping fee, are made with your personal credit card. Pricing is set by the vendor and represents the manufacturing cost. UC does not receive any revenue or profits from the sales.

The store is in its pilot phase, and more items are expected to be added in the future.

Enter our raffle for a chance to win UC merchandise

We’re raffling off three UC 150th T-shirts (your choice of white or navy blue) and two UC tote bags that can be found in the new UC Store. To enter the raffle, submit your name and email address here by 5 p.m. Monday, July 16. Each UCOP employee may only enter once. Five winners will be selected at random.

Department purchases for conference and other business needs

The new UC Store is for individual purchases only. It is not for department orders and cannot accept purchase orders as payment.

Departments should purchase UC-branded stationery and promotional items for conferences, events and other business needs from the Stationery and Promotional Items Portal, shop.ucop.edu. This website was launched by Marketing Communications earlier this year to make it easier for departments to purchase UC promotional items from an approved, licensed vendor.

The portal is designed to save the university money by centralizing and standardizing our orders for these types of products. In addition, it streamlines requests and ensures that only approved representations of the University of California are used.

The purchasing process has built-in adherence to UCOP procurement and brand guidelines, and ensures items are for approved business use.

Each UCOP department has a designated, trained buyer to place orders and coordinate with the Business Resource Center (BRC) on the purchasing and delivery process.
