STAR Awards nominations are now online

UCOP Human Resources is very pleased to announce that beginning April 8, 2019, the STAR Award Nomination process will be available online through ServiceNow.
Annual STAR Awards allow managers to grant one-time cash awards to staff below the executive level in recognition of exemplary performance and contributions which further operational and administrative improvements within the university.
Moving the awards to Service Now — UCOP’s online intake and workflow system that currently serves UCOP employees with IT and BRC requests — streamlines and standardizes the process for submitting nominations to UCOP HR and UCOP Payroll. Employees will be able to initiate, track and access their requests online at any time.
What are the benefits of processing nominations through Service Now?
- Electronic submission of requests
- Electronic approval with automated routing – approval only requires clicking an emailed link
- Transparent process from start to finish
- Elimination of manual record keeping
- Establishment of permanent and historical records
Can I still submit a hardcopy nomination? What if I have already submitted one?
UCOP HR will continue to monitor the current submission email account for hardcopy nomination forms until May 30, 2019, at which point we will close the account.
