UCOP Volunteers: Dylan Paul
Dylan Paul is associate director of strategic sourcing at UCOP. He’s also a dedicated volunteer who believes in supporting children and his local community. Learn more about what inspires his belief in giving back.
Where do you volunteer and what causes does your work support?
My wife, daughter and I volunteer at Kids & Art, which provides art programs to pediatric cancer patients at hospitals (like UCSF Benioff) and also holds destination workshops at places like Pixar and Google. I also donate time to the Pacifica United Soccer Club — a volunteer-based youth soccer club — and offer my professional experience as a mentor.
Can you share a little about what your volunteer work means to you?
I feel balanced and connected when I am involved with and volunteer in communities. With over 70 percent of the world’s population expected to be living in large cities by 2050, I feel a great need to be an informed participant in creating a social-economical model that supports healthy options and healthy choices.
What is your dream volunteer opportunity?
Anything to do with ANR and the national labs.
