Box Drive is coming to UCOP this month
Box Sync is the primary service that UCOP staff currently use to store documents securely in the cloud. Beginning in July 2019, we’ll be moving to Box Drive — a new product from Box that allows you to access files right from your desktop for easy automatic storage to the cloud.
Why is UCOP switching from Box Sync to Box Drive?
Box is ending support for Box Sync in October 2019, as Box Drive is its newest product.
Will it be difficult to use Box Drive?
No, Box Drive is an incredibly simple way to work with all of your files right from your desktop, taking up very little hard drive space. Once it’s installed, you’ll use your Windows Explorer or Mac Finder to find the files you need, edit them like you would any local file and save them automatically to the cloud. It also has new functionality that will allow you to access and search all your files saved in Box.
