The REAL ID deadline has been extended to 2021

Good news: If you’ve been meaning to get a REAL ID but haven’t had a chance yet, you now have an extra year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and national emergency declaration, the Department of Homeland Security extended the REAL ID enforcement deadline from Oct. 1, 2020 to Oct. 1, 2021.
