Join LaSA’s Cesar Chavez Commemorative Virtual Activity Challenge

Looking for a good reason to get moving this spring? The Latino Staff Association (LaSA) invites you to join them in a César Chávez Commemorative Virtual Activity Challenge.

Individuals and teams can choose from three activity options:

  • 3-mile virtual run/walk/hike
  • 30 activity challenge — pledge to get some movement every day by gardening, practicing yoga, taking an exercise class, playing with your kids, washing your car, etc.
  • 300-mile challenge – run/walk or hike the miles

These categories symbolize César Chávez leading farmworkers on a peaceful 300-mile march from Delano to Sacramento to raise awareness of farmworkers’ plight. The categories were chosen to make the challenge accessible to people at all levels of ability.

Donations from participants will support the LaSA Scholarship Fund.

I’ve attended many CC events sponsored by LaSA in the past. This is such a fun way to honor Cesar Chavez while we cannot be together! I live a block from Cesar Chavez St in San Francisco. I’m going to walk the length of the street from start to finish as my activity — it’s 3.4 miles. There are some great murals of CC along the way. I’ll take some photos and share.
