Microsoft Excel Techniques
June 8, 9:30 – 11 a.m. (Register by June 4)
Take your Microsoft Excel skills to the next level! In this workshop, learn powerful techniques to save time, analyze data to extract business insights, present information in a compelling way and effectively collaborate with others.

Excel PivotTable Techniques
June 10, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Register by June 4)
If you’ve been using PivotTables and would like to do more with them, or if you’re running into obstacles, join us for this workshop to unleash the power of PivotTables and get results.

Box Fundamentals
June 15, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Get an overview of Box Drive and have your questions answered! Administrators from IT will be on hand to review the best features of Box Drive.

Zoom Advanced
June 17, 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Become a Zoom power-user with topics like personal meeting IDs, advanced web portal settings, advanced scheduling options, advanced sharing options and annotation, polling, breakout rooms, reporting and cloud recording. Plus, ask a Zoom expert your advanced questions.

Microsoft Projects
June 25 and June 29, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. (Register by June 22)
Learn the basic commands and features of Microsoft Project in this two-part course. You’ll learn how to create and modify task lists, establish a project schedule, create calendars, assign resources to tasks, track costs and work with different views and tables. Plus, apply filters and groups, sort task and resource data, and learn how to resolve resource conflicts. Attendance at both sessions is required for course completion.

Communications

Microaggressions Part 2:  Individual and Institutional Strategies
June 9, 1 – 3 p.m.
A continuation of the Microaggressions 1 training, this session will further develop participants’ understanding of how to respond to microaggressions in the workplace. Participants will learn when and how to respond to microaggressions, understand adaptive and maladaptive responses to microaggressions, learn organizational and structural interventions, role-play activities to practice responding to microaggressions and learn tips and tools for how to recover from receiving a microaggression. Microaggressions 1 is a prerequisite for this course.

NEW — Write Right! Baseline Business Writing Skills
June 16 and 17, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Highly rated trainer Barbara Nelson of Nelson Communications will facilitate this virtual writing program, in two half-day sessions. Writing error-free messages can enhance both your image and UC’s, while boosting career opportunities and saving your department time and money. In this course, you’ll tackle the basics of business writing and feel confident that your communications are clear and correct.

Emotional Intelligence —Attain Results Through People
June 22, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Discover the fundamentals of emotional intelligence. Participants will learn the various aspects of emotional intelligence, then practice formulating strategies and behaviors to cultivate it and develop it into an ongoing practice.

Understanding your Intercultural Conflict Style
June 24, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Participants will learn about a powerful model and assessment tool that can be used to better understand and resolve problems and conflicts across cultural differences. As part of this class, you will need to complete the Intercultural Conflict Styles Inventory (ICS®), which you will receive the assessment a week prior to the class.
