Making Power Moves – Women and Leadership returns in March
This spring, the President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (PACSW) is again sponsoring the course Making Power Moves: Women and Leadership. It will be taught by Amy Levine, who is a certified leadership coach, educator and consultant. This is an exceptional opportunity as Amy Levine only offers this course for UC staff.
Making Power Moves has received overwhelmingly positive feedback and has resulted in some great outcomes for past participants. The class is most beneficial to high-performing individuals who manage people and or projects. It is a great way to help boost your professional development and career goals. Sessions will include a mix of lectures, discussion and interactive exercises on the following topics:
- Managing and leading effectively
- Negotiation
- Organizational politics
- Managing up
- Perspectives on advancement from female and male leadership at UC
- Public speaking
- Non-defensive communication

- Dates: Every Wednesday, March 2 — May 4, 2022
- Time: 4 to 7 p.m. (PST)
- Location: Virtual (Zoom)
- Cost: $1,000 for 10 sessions
- Registration: Open in early February; limited to 16 participants
