UC awards $20M in research grants to fund climate goals and more
On Jan. 18, UC announced the award of $20M in grants to faculty and researchers across its 10-campus system, with more than half the funds going toward projects that can help California meet its climate goals.
Funded by the UC National Laboratory Fees Research Program, five new multi-institution grants will foster collaborations between UC and the national labs in areas of strategic importance, including clean energy, environmental restoration and public health. The multidisciplinary partnerships will also afford unique learning opportunities for UC students.
