On Thursday, Dec. 8, more than 1,100 UCOP staff members attended a virtual Town Hall with UC President Michael V. Drake, M.D.

President Drake gave opening remarks, in which he thanked staff for their critical work over the past year in support of UC’s mission and values. He praised their resilience in coping with the many changes and challenges we have experienced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. He acknowledged that our workplace has been navigating several transitions and explained that Executive Vice President/Chief Executive Officer Rachael Nava will lead a town hall in the new year dedicated to future of work issues and topics.

He then joined in conversation with Lalitha Sankaran, director of the Office of Workplace Inclusion and Belonging, to answer several questions submitted by UCOP staff.
