APISA to host the the inaugural UC Asian Amerian Pacific Islander Symposium

On April 26, from 1 – 5 p.m. (PT), the UCOP Asian Pacific Islander Staff Association (APISA) will convene the inaugural UC Asian Amerian Pacific Islander (AAPI) Symposium at UCOP!
The symposium, based around the theme “Our Voices Are Your Voices,” is scheduled to align with the annual conference of Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE), taking place April 27 – 28 at the Marriott Oakland City Center. APAHE, which was founded in 1987, is an organization devoted exclusively to addressing Asian Pacific American concerns and issues in higher education.
The symposium will feature a UCOP location-specific panel, remarks from President Drake, a reception with light refreshments and networking and community-building opportunities.
