Audio/video technology updates: Coming to an Oakland conference room near you
During the pandemic, some of the latest audio/video technology available at the time was installed in the Franklin and Broadway conference rooms. Technology has continued to rapidly evolve during our work-from-home period and we have heard from those of you returning to the office that you’d like to see us take advantage of this progress to even further improve upon the usability of our conference rooms.
Telecommunications Services has been researching new and emerging audio/video offerings and trends, and we are in the process of installing a more evolved design in four conference rooms. These rooms will serve as a pilot program so that staff can try out the new technology and provide their feedback before we order and install it in additional conference rooms. Additional new Zoom Room hardware is expected to become available this summer; once again Telecommunications Services will review this technology for potential pilot testing in late fall.
