Project Management I
Sept. 13, Sept. 20 and Sept. 27, 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
Led by the Center for Project Management, this three-session workshop series emphasizes the fundamentals of how to initiate, create and manage a project. Learn how to define a clear, shared understanding of a project at the outset by creating a comprehensive project charter; build a professional-grade project plan and develop detailed estimates; convert a project plan and estimates into a project schedule; and track and communicate the project status.
Project Management 2
Oct. 18, Nov. 2, 8:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
This course expands upon the skills learned in Project Management 1 (a prerequisite) to focus on traditional project management techniques that are highly relevant to the UC project environment. Learn practical tools, methods and techniques that you can immediately apply in your day-to-day work. Lessons will include establishing priorities; assessing complexity; change and risk management; communication plans; and more.
