Next Tuesday in Oakland: Celebrate UCOP community and learn about UC’s natural reserves
Next Tuesday, Oct. 24, will be an exciting anchor day in the office with two in-person events in Oakland!
UCOP Community and Connection Fair
Join us for the inaugural UCOP Community and Connection Fair, taking place Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. in the Broadway Conference Center in Oakland. This fun event will offer a unique opportunity for UCOP staff to build connections with colleagues throughout UCOP, including employee resource group members, and vendors. Ask questions, see demos and learn more about internal and vendor services and product offerings.
Light refreshments will be served and there will be a drawing for prizes at 12:30 p.m. (You must be present during the drawing to win.)
For questions, contact Shirley Bittlingmeier, Marjo Keller or Hilary Steinman.
NRS Day Fair
The UC Natural Reserves System is excited to announce the return of the NRS Day Fair, taking place Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 1 – 3:00 p.m. at the Franklin 5th floor patio! Learn about these reserves, their pivotal role in advancing scientific research and the dedicated conservation work taking place while engaging with students, researchers, and our passionate reserve staff.
Foster a deep appreciation for California’s biodiversity while enjoying an array of treats, desserts, a popcorn bar and refreshing drinks. There will also be an enticing drawing for prizes.
