The University of California celebrates National Transfer Student Week
The University of California is proud to celebrate National Transfer Student Week (NTSW) from Oct. 16-20. With over 45,000 community college transfer students enrolled at UC, we are excited to honor everything these students bring to our campuses.
NTSW celebrates transfer students and professionals who work tirelessly to make the educational journey more seamless. The University of California is pleased to shine a light on our transfer students, who by and large come from California Community Colleges (92 percent) and make meaningful contributions as outstanding students, leaders and changemakers on UC campuses.
“Our transfer pathways have brought talented California students, with vast and varied work and life experiences, to the UC community,” said UC Provost Katherine S. Newman. “At a time when a strong community college pipeline is essential to our state’s economic advancement, it is imperative that we lift up the excellence of our transfer students and celebrate their immense accomplishments.”National Transfer Student Week, Provost Newman, transfer students, undergraduate
