UC has sent more women to space than any other school in the solar system

Of the 92 women who’ve ever been to space, 13 of them have studied or taught at UC — and NASA’s latest class of astronauts includes one woman UC alum.
In honor of Women’s History Month, the UC Newsroom is celebrating far-out women of all kinds, including UC’s spacefaring leaders. One of them, Anna Fisher, was the first mom in space!
