Starting July 26, more than 10,000 athletes from around the world have gathered for the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris — including a contingent of UC athletes whose combined presence will exceed that of most nations. One hundred and three UC athletes, supported by 13 UC-affiliated coaches and staff, will be going for gold, competing in 27 sports and representing 31 nations and five UC campuses. For some, it will be the first time on such a prestigious international stage. For others, it will be a welcome chance to have friends and family cheering them on at the pinnacle of their sport.
