Oakland staff: Save the date and sign up for the Red Cross Blood Drive on Dec. 17
On Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m., UCOP will once again host a blood drive for the American Red Cross in Lobby 1 of the Oakland Franklin building. All employees are welcome to participate!
The U.S. is experiencing a blood shortage emergency and blood donors are urgently needed now to help ensure patients at hospitals across the country continue to receive critical medical care. It only takes about an hour to participate — and your donation could save three lives. You may also be eligible for a free long-sleeve T-shirt!
For a limited time, the American Cross is screening all donations from self-identified multiracial and American donors for sickle cell trait. Gain additional insight into personal health and how screening may help patients with sickle cell disease in crisis.
