Its excellent universities, Department of Energy national laboratories, Agriculture and Natural Resources, and UC Health collectively create an exemplary ecosystem for convergent research that leads to societal benefit. From undergraduates to Nobel laureates, UC engages in discovery and ideation that has the potential to improve the lives of people throughout California and beyond.

All UC staff and faculty members are encouraged to join Provost and Executive Vice President Katherine Newman, Vice President for Research and Innovation Theresa Maldonado, UC Davis Professor Cynthia Schumann and other luminaries on March 11 to 12 for an insightful dialogue about the future of academic research and the importance of partnerships among academia, government, industry and philanthropy.
