Tuesday and Wednesday: Fun employee events in Oakland

If you’re working from Oakland this week, UCOP employee resource groups invite you to join them for two fun events!

Tuesday, June 24: Black Staff and Faculty Organization West African dance class

BSFO is wrapping up its Juneteenth celebrations with a fun, participatory dance class in Oakland! This Tuesday, from 12 – 1 p.m., join BSFO members and Kuumba LLC at the Franklin Rooftop Garden (5th Floor) for an energetic West African dance class.

Founded in 2022 by Tiye Garret, Kuumba LLC’s mission is to spread joy and creativity through vibrant rhythms and movements.

Wednesday, June 25: UCOP Pride Ice Cream Social

Come together with UCOP colleagues to celebrate Pride Month with delicious ice cream treats!

Mark your calendars to join UCOP Pride, UCOP leaders and colleagues for sweet treats this Wednesday, from 1 – 2 p.m. at the Franklin Rooftop Garden (5th Floor).

Traditional and vegan ice cream treats will be served.

We are looking forward to gathering as a community to mark Pride Month. All colleagues are encouraged to attend!
