Among universities in the United States, eight UCs ranked in the top 50; and UC campuses fared even better among the nation’s public universities, claiming four of the five top spots: No. 1 (UC Berkeley), No. 3 (UCLA), No. 4 (UC San Francisco) and No. 5 (UC San Diego), with UC Santa Barbara, UC Davis, UC Irvine and UC Santa Cruz also among the top 25.
