Administrative Professionals Network (APN) meeting

At every meeting, you’ll have opportunities to exchange best practices, discuss updates, problem-solve with colleagues and strengthen connections across UCOP’s administrative community. Special guest speakers Michele McKenzie, social and cultural studies librarian for UC Berkeley Library and liaison for Anthropology, Linguistics, African and African American and African Diaspora Studies, and Gia White, administrative director of the Institute of European Studies and the Institute of Global, International and Area Studies at UC Berkeley, will lead the discussion. The session will highlight the importance of emotional intelligence in building your social capital to leverage connections and accomplish more at work.

Cultivating Mindful Self-Compassion with Loving-Kindness
Feb. 27, 12 – 1 p.m.
Zoom: Register to attend Mindful Self-Compassion
Join the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program for a Mindful Moment Webinar focused on cultivating a mindful self-compassion practice. Through a brief overview of mindful self-compassion research and an extended guided loving-kindness meditation, attendees will learn to redirect caregiving skills back towards themselves. Those new to mindfulness and experienced practitioners are welcome to attend.  This session will be led by FSAP Licensed Clinical Psychologist Jessica Allanson, Ph.D., director of the FSAP Post-Doctoral Fellowship Program.
