PACSW to offer online financial workshop for UCOP women
The President’s Advisory Council on the Status of Women (PACSW) is offering a two-part financial planning workshop: Beyond 101: Practical Financial Planning for Women at UCOP.
Many financial resources teach terminology, but then leave you wondering what to do next. This webinar is built for practical decision-making around real-life “money moments” — especially for those navigating caregiving, career pauses and longer retirements. These sessions are designed to be practical and discussion-friendly, so bring your questions!
- Part 1 (April 16): We’ll begin by covering two major life tracks — partnering and parenting — including beneficiary updates, planning and tax opportunities, parental leave or reduced work, and the retirement vs. college savings trade-off.
- Part 2 (April 30): We’ll continue the series with action-oriented planning for early or flexible retirement, as well as for the unexpected. Learn how to build flexibility by pairing UC pension benefits with voluntary savings, plus resilience basics like emergency funds, insurance and beneficiary updates.
