Never in its 157-year history has UC faced the fiscal uncertainty that it does today, and these budget challenges directly affect our research mission, and support for students, faculty and staff. Gov. Newsom and legislative leaders have been steadfast in their support for UC, but California is still navigating serious fiscal challenges.

The state legislature is now considering the California Science and Health Research Bond Act — a historic opportunity to invest in the University of California. The bond would provide UC with funding for research that advances knowledge and delivers public benefit across California.
