Save the date for a virtual conversation with President Milliken and UC Riverside Chancellor S. Jack Hu

President Milliken will welcome UC Riverside Chancellor S. Jack Hu for the next President’s Leadership Conversation on Nov. 3.
President Milliken invites UCOP staff to join him for the next event in the President’s Leadership Conversations series, featuring UC Riverside Chancellor S. Jack Hu, on Tuesday, Nov. 3, from 1–2 p.m. (PT). This virtual conversation will be livestreamed via Zoom.
Hear from Dr. Hu about leading UC Riverside and his experience advancing research, interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. Before becoming UCR’s 10th chancellor in July 2025, Chancellor Hu held senior academic leadership roles at the University of Georgia and the University of Michigan. His work in manufacturing science has helped improve quality and productivity across industrial sectors.
At UC Riverside Chancellor Hu is also celebrated for his participation in “Hot Scots” — a parody of the popular series “Hot Ones” — during which he was peppered with questions from UC Riverside student Brooke Jamieson while eating increasingly spicy wings, with many ingredients sourced on campus. Watch the video below!
Advance registration is required. On October 21, UCOP staff will receive an Outlook invitation with a link to the registration page, where they can register and submit questions. You’ll also have an opportunity to submit questions for Chancellor Hu via the Q&A featured during the event. The event will be recorded and posted later for those unable to attend live.
