Share your experience in the 2026 UCOP Staff@Work survey
Lalitha Sankaran, director of the Office of Culture and Inclusive Excellence, and S. Jamila Buckner, interim chief human resources officer, UCOP Human Resources, sent the following message to all UCOP staff on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2026:
Dear colleagues,
The 2026 UCOP Staff@Work Survey will open on Tuesday, October 27. Watch for an email invitation that day with your survey link. This is your opportunity to share what is working well, where change may be needed and what priorities UCOP should consider to continue strengthening the staff experience.
The Staff@Work Survey, a partnership between the Office of Culture and Inclusive Excellence (OCIE) and UCOP Human Resources, invites all UCOP employees — both policy-covered and represented — to share their experiences of working at UCOP. This is a different survey than the systemwide engagement survey. It is for UCOP employees only.
What to expect
- The survey will be open from Tuesday, October 27, through Friday, November 13, 2026.
- Participation is voluntary, and it should take about 15 minutes to complete.
- You will receive an email invitation from Workplace Science Associates (WSA), an independent, third-party vendor, with your unique survey link and instructions for participating. The email address will be UCOP Staff@Work Survey <noreply@qemailserver.com>.
- Please do not forward your email invitation or share your unique survey link, because only one person can take the survey using that link. If you or a colleague do not receive a survey invite, contact the UCOP Staff@Work team.
Your confidentiality matters
Your responses will remain confidential. UCOP will receive only aggregated results.
Building on your feedback
In our inaugural 2024 Staff@Work Survey, 77% of UCOP employees participated. That strong response gave divisions — and some departments, depending on size — valuable information for identifying priorities and developing action plans. This year, broad participation will again help provide a fuller picture of staff experiences across UCOP and support meaningful, informed action.
Since the inaugural survey in 2024, divisions have used staff feedback to identify priorities and implement improvements. This year’s survey will help us understand where progress has been made and where additional attention is needed. We look forward to sharing the results and next steps in early 2027, after the responses have been analyzed.
Please look for your survey invitation on October 27 and take a few minutes to share your perspective. Your experience and ideas are important to shaping our workplace, and we look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for helping make UCOP a great place to work.
Sincerely,
Lalitha Sankaran
