Resignation of Rachelle Jeppson, Director-Ethics and Compliance

Dear Colleagues,
It is with mixed emotions I announce the resignation of Rachelle Jeppson, Director-Ethics and Compliance (North) effective January 31, 2010. Rachelle has been an integral part of our Ethics, Compliance and Audit Services team working closely with UCOP colleagues on special compliance-related projects, but more importantly, has collaborated with her assigned Campus Ethics and Compliance offices to build and/or enhance their compliance programs.
The good news is that Rachelle will continue to serve the UC system working as the Controller for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. The position is responsible for all financial accounting functions, travel and contract accounting, and with her strong financial and project management background, it is a natural progression in her career path.
Prior to coming to the Ethics and Compliance Office, Rachelle spent 8 years at LLNL as the Deputy Budget Officer and Department Head of Matrixed Financial Services which proved a great asset as she led this department’s efforts with the Effort Reporting System Workgroup to develop compliance-performance metrics.
We wish her well in this exciting endeavor and thank her for her contributions to the Ethics and Compliance Program.
