Take charge of your career: Final brown bag today, Nov. 19
If you’re looking for a way to advance your career and are interested in Take Charge, you can learn more at this week’s final brown bag about the program today, Tuesday, Nov. 19, 12 to 1 p.m. in Franklin Lobby 1 Conference Room.
Take Charge is UCOP’s professional development program designed especially to provide administrative and support staff with tools to manage and direct their careers. It completed its inaugural year this fall and is seeking applicants for 2014.
The program runs from January to July 2014 and includes workshops in managing up, self-promotion, negotiating, resume writing, networking and interviewing skills. Also included are self-guided assignments and peer mentoring sessions.
All eligible administrative and support staff are encouraged to apply by the deadline of Wednesday, Dec. 11. See the Take Charge website for criteria, answers to frequently asked questions and the 2014 application form.
The program is cosponsored by UCOP Local HR Learning & Development and the President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (PACSW).
