Nearly 200 ideas now published on Efficiency Review website
Interested in new ideas your colleagues have for improving UCOP operations?
Just check out the UCOP Efficiency Review website, which has been updated with nearly 200 ideas submitted so far for making UC Office of the President more efficient and cost effective.
Going paperless. Allowing employees to telecommute. Streamlining UCOP’s cumbersome travel reimbursement process. These are just a handful of the ideas, which make interesting reading and can inspire other ideas. So take a look and submit your own.
Anyone can make suggestions for how UCOP can improve its operations, including ideas for reducing costs, streamlining processes, eliminating duplication and improving the quality of our services. You can access the site at any time and do not need to identify yourself to submit your idea.
President Napolitano launched the efficiency review shortly after she began her tenure, emphasizing that operating as efficiently as possible is an ongoing priority, especially in these times of uncertain government support for UC and uneven economic growth.
As more ideas are submitted, the efficiency review working group will assess them for savings, impact, feasibility and other criteria. The most promising suggestions and the working group’s recommendations for action will be posted to the website for the OP community and campuses to review.
If you missed last month’s brown bags and information sessions on the review, stay tuned for additional sessions in January.
