Women We Admire this Thursday: Kellie McElhaney of Berkeley’s Haas School
Join Kellie McElhaney for the next event in the Women We Admire series of talks this Thursday, Jan. 30, 12 to 1 p.m. in Franklin Lobby 1 Conference Room.
McElhaney joined UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business in 2002, where she is now the Whitehead Faculty Fellow in Corporate Sustainability and founding faculty director of the Center for Responsible Business.
She is the author of Just Good Business: The Strategic Guide to Aligning Corporate Responsibility and Brand and has given a TED talk on corporate responsibility. Her research focuses on the connections between women as corporate leaders and firms’ sustainability performance. At Haas, she has developed a new MBA course, Women in Business, which examines the business cases for investing globally in the development of women.
McElhaney earned her bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Carolina, her master’s in organization behavior and management from Ohio University and her Ph.D. in higher education from the University of Michigan.
The President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (PACSW) established the Women We Admire series in 2009 to bring women from throughout the UC system to UCOP to share insights about their careers, workplace challenges and work–life balance.
