American Red Cross blood drive returns to UCOP May 14
Did you know?
- One pint of blood can save up to three lives.
- A single car accident victim can require as many as 100 pints of blood.
- Every two seconds a patient in the United States relies on donated blood and platelet products.
You can donate blood right here at the office when the American Red Cross bloodmobile returns to UCOP next week, Wednesday, May 14, from 8:15 a.m. to 3 p.m. Contact Jan Kehoe at (510) 987-9692 or jan.kehoe@ucop.edu to make your appointment today.

On May 14, you’ll find the bus parked in front of the East Bay Municipal Utility District (EBMUD) Building on 11th Street, between Franklin and Webster, just one half-block from 1111 Franklin. See the American Red Cross Blood Donation website for more details about the blood donation process.
This will be the 68th UCOP blood drive over the past 13 years organized by Kehoe, who is assistant director of operations in the Office of the Chief Investment Officer. She was recently honored with a UCOP Innovation and Impact Award, in the category of Connecting with the Community, for this ongoing effort.
