IT proposals for UC Computing Services Conference due today

Are you an information technology professional, heavy user of IT or just interested in IT issues as a way of helping you do your job more effectively?
You might want to check out the 2014 UC Computing Services Conference (UCCSC), which will be held Aug. 3 to 5 at UC San Francisco’s Parnassus campus.
The conference is marking its thirty-second year with the theme “00100000 Years of IT Collaboration” (00100000 is 32 in binary). Organizers are accepting proposals for presentations by today (Tuesday, May 20). They are particularly seeking submissions that demonstrate how IT is used to facilitate education, clinical and research activities. The conference focuses on IT professionals but is open to any staff who have an association with or interest in IT. Sessions cover IT as well as general subjects like project management, service delivery, procurement and UCPath planning.
Begun in 1982 as a grassroots effort, the conference brings UC information technologists together each summer to share knowledge and discuss common issues associated with providing and supporting IT services at UC locations.
