More Franklin upgrades on the way
Employees in the Franklin Building will see some changes in the near future.
Garage to get more EV spaces
Those who drive electric vehicles (EV) to work will be pleased to see six additional designated EV parking spaces on the third floor of the garage, bringing the total to 12. Work on the parking spaces, which will be equipped with 110-volt outlets and painted with green lettering to distinguish them, will be completed by mid-May.
Lobby floor to be refinished
The marble and granite honing that was originally scheduled for March will now take place April 20 through May 1. The refinishing work is intended to make the floor more slip resistant.
Employees won’t be inconvenienced by the work. The refinishing will be done in stages after hours, and walkways will be clearly marked for anyone who needs to be in the building late.
Spiffing up the restrooms
New tile will be installed in the restrooms in the lobby near the café. The women’s room will be closed April 10-14. The men’s room will be fully functional during this time as will the gender-neutral restroom in front of the Lobby 2 conference room. The men’s room will be closed April 17-21 to receive the tile upgrade.
